The next Women with Drive (WWD) event is just around the corner, and it’s set to be another empowering showcase of inspiration, knowledge and support.

The next Women with Drive (WWD) event is just around the corner, and it’s set to be another empowering showcase of inspiration, knowledge and support. Our second event of 2017 will take place at Manchester’s MacDonald Hotel – just down the road from our previous venue – on Wednesday 5th July. The day will kick off at 10am, with a packed line-up of speakers and workshops to captivate our audience, and motivate guests of all genders to reach their full potential.

We’ll begin the day with a personal development session, focusing on resilience and mental toughness. Inner strength and self-belief can be key to achieving the success we want, and in this workshop we will explore ways of building and retaining mental toughness, and how we can apply it in positive ways – both professionally and personally.

In the afternoon, we’ve got two inspirational speakers lined up to impart some words of wisdom, building on the morning’s theme of resilience. Maria Soklis, President of Cox Automotive Canada, will join us to tell her story, sharing some insight on how she overcame challenges, and developed resilience in the process.

Also joining us will be Claire Lomas MBE, who became paraplegic after a riding accident in 2007, but has since gone on to complete a marathon, and raise thousands of pounds for spinal research charities. Claire’s story is an incredible reminder of ‘mind over matter’ and is set to remind us all of the power of determination, ambition and self-belief.

There will also be some exciting announcements regarding our upcoming Kilimanjaro challenge. Next year, 10 brave Cox Automotive women will trek to the top of Africa’s highest mountain, undertaking a journey that will prove female strength and determination to the world. Over the past few months, we’ve received a wealth of fantastic video applications from team members across the business, and we’ll be announcing the successful team at this July’s Women with Drive event.
